These are a series of stills for “Anak”, a mixed media animation concept that visualises a daughter’s phone call back home to her mother as she tries to recreate food from home - lumpia from the Philippines.

It explores the homesickness and inherent yearning for nostalgia that comes from being an international student away from home. This story aims to capture these emotions, encouraging the audience to reflect on their roots through the context of food and leave them feeling a little less alone and a little more understood.
